Sneezing? Runny Nose? Could Be Allergies!
Tis’ the season of allergies! I have never had allergies in my life…until now. A constant stuffy nose for over a month and all the doctor can say is nasal spray. Nasal spray. I need more than nasal spray! This spring is one of the worst allergy seasons ever. The symptoms will start sooner and probably last longer, leaving the discomfort to kick around. As said on ABC News, the 2013 allergy season is expected to occur about 14 days earlier in many parts of the United States and experts believe that seasonal allergies will last about 30 days longer, running through the month of October.
In the meantime, here are some great tips from US News to help you find relief.
- Clean out your nose
- Try an over the counter allergy medicine
- Consider prescription nasal spray and/or eye drops
- Use decongestants
- Close your windows and turn on the A/C
- Try allergy shots
Having CT health insurance is a great way to help combat your allergies. Visiting the doctor and getting prescriptions will be less of a pain if you have health insurance so you may be paying less out of pocket for the medicine you need. With allergy season about to come in full swing it is good to be prepared in more ways than one!
