Ion Insurance to Sponsor College Seminar Hosted by Eric Dobler
With the school year coming to an end, high school students and their families are thinking about what is needed to get into college. From 1:00pm – 2:30pm on Saturday May 9th, Ion Insurance will be sponsoring a workshop hosted by our good friend Eric Dobler of Dobler College Consulting. The workshop will be held at the Ion Bank Oxford branch located at 71 Oxford Road for high school Sophomores and Juniors along with their families to discuss how to properly prepare for the next educational step.
During the Workshop, Eric will go over the details of the college application process covering topics such as:
- How to find the schools that will be the best fit for you
- The difference between the SAT and ACT tests and how to interpret the scores
- How to properly construct a well written college essay
- The cost of college and how to go about affording it
- How important extra-curricular activities and a well written resume are
- Recommendations about how to interview for admission
Eric Dobler was an admissions counselor and academic advisor for 13 years before starting Dobler College Consulting. Eric prides himself on coaching students throughout the college admissions process. Whether it’s learning how to reduce the cost of college, filling out the application correctly, writing a great essay, or finding the right school, Eric works individually with students to help build their future.
