Time For The Motorcycles

Today is the first day of spring and although there is still snow on the ground it is never too early to think about riding your motorcycle. I know my husband has been in the garage since February preparing his Harley for April. If you’re like most motorcycle riders any time the sun comes out, you jump on your bike. We have already tooled it across our town but remember just because the sun is out does not mean the ride is warm, in fact, it was freezing! Enjoying the day out on the bike is something to look forward to and even if you are as safe as you can be other drivers may not be aware you are around. Having motorcycle insurance will protect your bike and yourself. Here are some tips from Share the road safely:

  • Watch the no-zones- Never hang out in a blind spot so drivers cannot see you.
  • Drive to survive- You must be aware of everything on the road because other drivers may not see you.
  • Check yourself and your bike- Wear protective clothing and keep proper maintenance of your bike.
  • Watch your speed- Motorcycles accelerate the fastest so watch how fast you are going.

You can be a new rider or the most experienced rider around but that does not change what could happen in case of an accident. We hope you never have a bad day, but if you do, our motorcycle insurance coverage is designed to help turn a very bad day around.
