Dwelling Fire Insurance

Dwelling Fire Insurance

In addition to homeowners insurance any homeowner who rents out their property should consider dwelling fire insurance.

Dwelling fire insurance is similar to homeowners insurance. The only difference is it covers your home’s physical structure. It leaves out any coverage for contents, instead dwelling fire insurance provides money to repair or replace your home based on its cost of construction. When included in a comprehensive homeowners insurance policy, dwelling coverage is referred to as Coverage A, while coverage for other structures on your lot fall under Coverage B, the contents of your home fall under Coverage C, and so on. The policy is ideal for a vacant home or for homes that are rented out. Besides fire, other losses covered include but are not limited to wind, hail, lightning or vandalism.
If you rent out your home then dwelling fire insurance is something you should look into.
