Established in 2003, Ion Insurance Agency was founded by David Drescher, who has over 25 years of insurance experience, and has built a solid, knowledgeable community of agents and insurance carriers. We are pleased to announce that David will serve as president and CEO of Ion Insurance.
Ion Insurance was founded as John M. Sutherland Inc. and has served the greater Naugatuck Valley area and central Connecticut for over 90 years. Ion Insurance is an affiliate of Ion Bank, which was formed in 1870 as Naugatuck Savings Bank. In October of 2013, the insurance agency and bank switched to the Ion brand name.
